Amy•Billy {Married}

“you still haven’t blogged our wedding…i am starting to get sad…:(

…Amy posted that on Joel’s Facebook wall yesterday, I felt awful! So my top priority today was to get this wedding posted. I got a late start because the kids are out of school today, but the hardest part has been trying to choose the images! For the last 3 hours I have been trying my hardest to choose my favorite 20 or so images. IMPOSSIBLE! It was just as hard to choose them today as it was for me to delete them two months ago after their wedding when I did the first edit. After their wedding I started with close to 3000 images and Joel likes to edit weddings down to about 1000 to put online. Seriously! I think (after hours and hours of going back through to cut down more) I ended up with 1700! I told Joel I can’t cut it down anymore and I have to just walk away because I wouldn’t have wanted to see what he cut out. There was not a bad picture taken at this wedding, and my gosh, look at Amy and Billy! Would you be able to delete a picture of them?

So, Amy, I am truly! sorry that it has taken me so long to post your wedding. I hope I have explained myself in a way that you know it was only because I loved the images and knew it would be very time consuming to attempt to choose “my favorites” for the blog.

You may remember Joel’s post of Amy and Billy’s engagement session a few months back…glad he did that one too because, again, it would have been too hard for me to choose!

Their wedding was at the beautiful Ponte Winery in Temecula. I can’t wait to see this place in person someday because the wedding pictures that I vicariously live through are amazing!

I love how the light is shining in on Amy from the window in the Brides room.

I tried to think of something clever to say about this next picture, but everything I wrote sounded cheesy. I think the picture speaks for itself:)

Need I explain any further why it was hard for me to delete a picture? Gorgeous, absolutely meant to be in front of the camera!

And Billy’s smile just makes me happy. I love real smiles…both of them just have that contagious kind that you can’t help but smiling when you see the sincerity in theirs.

Joel’s cool ‘camera-on-a-stick trick’:

Again…no explanation necessary, right?

Quite a bridal party these two had! Guess they have a lot of people that love them. I don’t find that hard to believe at all!

I literally had about 20 portraits chosen of just the two of them. I had to be very selective so here are just a few…

This one is going to be our ad in the next issue of Your Wedding Day magazine:

And couldn’t resist one more of Amy!

A few details…love how they incorporated pictures from their engagement session with the placecards.

Joel said he spent about fifteen minutes trying to get the rings to balance in this shot, notice her three rings are not connected!

And on to the reception…

Joel said he hopes that he and Bailey are as close on her wedding day as Amy and her dad were. There is not a doubt in my mind about that…but somehow I don’t picture Joel line dancing with Bay…more like just sobbing to a slow song;)

There are those smiles again…

Please forgive me Amy, for taking so long! The pressure was overwhelming today:)

…hope I didn’t disappoint!!!

Incredible! Love, Love, Love everything! That picture of Amy’s profile is gorgeous and the color/lighting of the photo is perfection!

Jeni…you definitely did not dissapoint and I am so embarrassed that you feel bad! I was just giving Joel a hard time :) I told him before he shot our wedding that I wanted our pictures on the blog, on his website, up on the wall in your studio and in as many magazines as possible…I am not demanding or anything!
I can’t thank you enough for your kind words and for posting these beautiful pictures. They take my breath away everytime I look at them and I cannot thank Joel enough for all the amazing shots. He really just knew what we wanted, got my style, and he was so much fun to work with. My family and wedding party could not say enough great things about him and his work.
I am so grateful that I stumbled upon your studio…it was just meant to be!

I didn’t mean to make you feel bad! I’m so sorry! I was in awe of your wedding pictures from the first time I saw them…I guess I was almost a little intimidated to post it…weird I know, there’s no rhyme or reason to that! But I will pimping you guys out in as many ways as possible :) On the walls, already in a magazine ad (I will send it to you as soon as I get it) the blog, and soon the website :) You guys are both gorgeous, but beyond that, truly genuine people…and I love that. So glad you stumbled upon us too…definitely meant to be :)

gorgeous setting- where did the ceremony take place?

admin - 2010/02/22 - 3:21 PM

Hi Kim,

I guess we didn’t specify the location in the post= sorry!
The ceremony and reception were at Ponte Winery in Temecula, CA- very cool venue with great food! The tent where the reception was is gone now and an amazing new building will be done in April I think…
